One thing about us: we never lose sight of where we came from–or why we do this work. The legacy that guides Front Light started long before we ever built our first house. It all began with a porch light, a cookie jar and a promise.

Viola’s rule was simple: when the front light was on, you could come in for a cookie and a laugh. You belonged.

Our founder, Matt Green, carried that same spirit into the earliest days of Front Light Building Co. with his dad and his business partner, Delton–a small crew, long nights, a thousand quiet choices in favor of care. The jobs were smaller, but the heart was big: create rooms for gathering, porches for talking, and kitchens where stories were shared as often as meals.
